Oh man. I must say I started with Elements 3.0. A gift from my husband, and I didn't do much with it. My friend Jamie started to show me how to do a few more things 2 years or so a go, and then I got CS3 from my brother and I got addicted to learning new things. Mostly online forums, other photogs and such. Mostly just practicing like crazy. :)

I have cs5, and am a newbie, what is something simple I can do to enhance my photos.
You can simply add a soft light layer. You hit Ctrl J (on PC) and then change the blending mode to soft light. Then change the layer opacity so that the coloring is not extreme. If you need to you can mask out the skin if it looks too saturated.

My tribute to the Provo Tabernacle
So a while back I helped Jamie out to get some family shots for her Christmas card. One of the sites we chose to go was the Provo Tabernacle. Little did we know it wouldn't be around much longer. It was such a shock this past Friday to hear about the fire that had destroyed this beautiful building. I don't have a lot of memories there besides a graduation of my brother and a few Stake conferences, but it was a very beautiful historic building that will be missed. So here are a few shots of the North doors.

St. George Girls
I am very late in posting these, and there are still a lot to come that are not finished. Jamie and I took all 6 of the kids with us on a road trip to St. George clear back in October. Jamie's niece and her friends were so fun to photograph. They got all dressed up and we headed out to shoot. It was so hot down there. I was sweating buckets, getting a workout, but you would never know it with these chicks. Thanks guys!

Sneek Peek ~ I and baby T!
This little guy was so adorable. He had the most beautiful skin. He was just over three weeks when I photographed him, and he was wide awake most of the time. He loved to move and rub his face with his hands, and we had a few "accidents". The poor thing hated the lights, and I don't blame him. He just wanted to sleep right and these silly lights kept flashing in his face. I just didn't have much of a choice with the clouds outside. He made for a fun challenge, but just look at that sweet face. It was all worth it. His older brother was so fun. We took him outside and let him roam around in an antique car that Chris' grandpa let me borrow. He had a blast. He didn't even mind I had a big black camera in his face. I was rainy up until shooting time so I was a little worried, but it cleared up right as we started shooting. It made for a little mud and some soggy leaves, but this little guys didn't care. He was so fast I had a hard time keeping up :) I must be getting old or something ;) I had my shutter speed at 250 and still couldn't keep his hands still. Thanks mom for letting me photograph these cuties. They are so adorable.

~A little more Chloe~
Here is the second helping of little Chloe. She was a hoot with her cake. She dug right in. Only when she picked the cake up (which I got one picture of but I wasn't ready for her to do it so it was really blurry) and dumped it on her foot was she ready to be done eating it. Happy Birthday little girl!!!
